Spring is Calling 🌸

Spring is Calling 🌸

Welcome, we are so glad you’re here!

I’m Jessica, Wifey to my amazing husband Tom (COO), Mama to 3 beautiful babies.

Born and raised in Maryland, my family decedents from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 makes me the second generation in my family to be raised in the USA 🇺🇸 on my Fathers side. Recently found out some awesome heritage on my Mother’s side, but we’ll get into that later as we get to know each other. So back to the Scots side.

My Great Great Grandmother was a seamstress and a dressmaker. She made clothes for ladies all over Scotland during WWII because she knew how to get her hands on some of the best cloth available during a time of war. A Lady Boss entrepreneur of her time for sure.

My Great Aunts are experts at hand smocking and made me gorgeous dresses when I was a baby. Blankets and so many other treasures.
Even more closely related, my MomMom would make her children’s clothing and my Mother creates gorgeous quilts and window treatments. The colors and designs all come from her own inspiration.

I’d like to think I have my creativity from her. Now, a little about myself. While I do love to crochet, I’m not very good at it. I like to fix a button or patch a hole in a knee or sock. What I excel at is actually “sewing hair”!

Yes, you read that right. First a hair extensions artist and second a salon owner. I see hair extensions on people for a living. It’s wonderful, it’s literally my passion, I excel at sewing hair. What a cool thing to say! What I do empowers women to look and feel their own kind of beautiful.

The only natural progression for me as a self proclaimed fashion Mama, was to find some brands that aligned with how I want to dress in my daily life. Working hard at being the best Mama I can be to my babies, wifey to my hubby, and kick ass hair sewing queen at work! And even better if those brands align with how I choose to make a conscious effort about my impact on this earth.

My salon donates hair clippings and old hair extensions to an awesome nonprofit called Matter Of Trust. They collect the hair and make mats that clean up oil/chemical spills. Literally the coolest thing I’ve ever heard.

Right now two of the brand we carry are sustainable brands, ethically sourced materials such as hemp, bamboo, and vintage cotton. They literally breakdown vintage cotton and reuse the highest quality materials for these gorgeous lines. Some is minimalist and some is trendy! You have to take a look!

Now you know a little about me, I’d love to hear about you too! So here’s a little about where I’m from. The state of all seasons, we have beach, mountains, skiing, and lakes. And we know a little something about the Maryland Blue Crab 🦀 crab cakes and seafood. Literally the best!

Lately it seems as though Spring in Maryland is right around the corner. Although we are technically still in Winter! We’ve had an extremely mild Winter season and it’s got everyone here thinking about #SpringBreak2023!

The fashion stars are aligning and the spring fashion season has begun. So get ready to see some really cute dresses. Lots of smocked tops and dresses, peplum tops, cut off jean shorts (yes they are still in!), crop tops, minimalist styles and colors. Pieces that you can mix over and over again. Lots of color, bold swim wear, and beach bags. It’s already locked and loaded in our online boutique.

Shop from anywhere, 24/7! We upload new styles to each collection every week.

Till next time spread some kindness wherever you go.

We’d also love to hear from you!
